Personalising Your Bridal Look: How to Make Clever Bespoke Changes to Your Wedding Dress Like Rachel

Rachel approached me with some sleeve ideas but wasn't entirely sure how to implement them. With two wedding celebrations—an intimate elopement in the Maldives and a family gathering in London—she wanted her dress to have a slightly different look for each event.

For me, the solution was straightforward: let's make the sleeves detachable!

Designed in a nude illusion tulle with appliques from the original dress, the sleeves could be easily attached or removed depending on Rachel's preference for the look she wanted. The original shoulder bows were also detachable, offering her a choice between a sleek or more delicate appearance.

In addition to the custom sleeves, Rachel wanted to modify her Lillian West gown by making the underskirt very fitted, creating another illusion. This alteration highlighted her figure while allowing the top layer of the dress to flow more freely.

"Brooke I am so happy with the sleeves they fit like a glove! The dress is everything I could have asked for with the alterations."
