Jess discovered her wedding dress during lockdown, and much had changed since then, including the loss of her mother during the pandemic.
From Jess:

When I met Jess, she told me about losing her mum and the words that ultimately made this dress so special.
As Jess bought the dress, her mum whispered to her, 'this is the one I picked for you.' Sadly, her mum passed away soon after that special day, and so her dress remained in a box, hidden away until Jess and Tom decided to plan the wedding.
Jess was extremely flexible; if the dress couldn't be used, she was willing to find a new one. However, I became determined to use her dress because of its special meaning.
It wasn't the easiest task as it was a few sizes different from when she first tried it on, but it was more than manageable with clear indications of what to do. With added panelling, adding an internal corset, a rebuild of the illusion neckline, and a re-proportioning of the kick flare, the dress was reconstructed. After many fittings and getting to know Jess well, I could see her confidence grow, becoming more and more excited about her big day, especially knowing she was honoring her mum.
