Within a whirlwind of just 48 hours, Emily found herself in the midst of a life-changing adventure. She collected her beautiful wedding dress swiftly boarded a magnificent ship, and was married on the high seas, embarking on a remarkable journey to Norway.
In the company of her closest family members, Emily enjoyed an intimate wedding ceremony aboard the cruise ship. The atmosphere was infused with a sense of warmth and love. Emily exchanged vows with her beloved, the salty breeze carried with it promises of adventure and companionship, enveloping them in a cocoon of joy and hope for the future.
Following their intimate wedding, Emily and her husband were thrilled to receive compliments from hundreds of fellow passengers on the ship. They also attracted the attention of the captain, who invited them to celebrate by pouring the champagne waterfall, marking their wedding in front of everyone. Emily transformed from a shy lady into a confident, joyful bride, eager to receive such admiration on her special day—and deservedly so!

The alterations
When Emily tried on her dress at Wed 2 B again, she noticed it had become slightly too big since her initial purchase. Additionally, the bust cups included with the dress didn't suit her shape.
To address these issues, I resized the dress and removed the bust cups. I then added boning to the bodice for support and structure, so Emily wouldn't need a bra or any additional support.
Emily's sleeves are adorned with hand-embellished lace, so to adjust the shoulders and loose sleeves, I carefully unpicked, tightened and hand-stitched the lace back into place.
The hem was altered for length, and the skirt was slightly reshaped to create a better drape over her hips and bum.
Words from Emily
"Hey Brooke,
Just a few pics of the wedding as promised!
We had an absolutely stunning day, the dress was perfect thank you so much for everything you did!!! I loved the fittings with you and all the chats and excitement leading up to the wedding were just so lovely and such a great experience.
I felt like a celebrity for the day, my biggest worry was all the attention from other cruisers but actually looking back now that was a highlight the guests were so lovely, we turned a lot of heads whilst everyone was enjoying their day at sea on their holiday to Norway.
We received so many congratulations and lovely comments from fellow passengers. We even got invited to start the captains champagne waterfall in the piazza where hundreds were watching. It was a magical day and I wish I could do it all again"
